Mirror Image pt 4 chpt 7 Frienemies

His parents were dead. His father was gone forever. That was why he now stood alone, heart racing, as the black clad so-called soldiers stalked the shadows. It wasn't safe for people to roam the streets while they hunted. Without anyone to lead, the black mass had become a whirlwind of chaotic death and destruction. These soldiers before him showed no signs that they noticed him. Maybe they didn't care? He knew it had to stop. His city, all those people, they were in great danger.

He slowly climbed on top of a burning pile of debris. He took his sword from his back, and rose from the flames to demand order.

With the heat starting to intensify and now becoming an issue among Zodes, the decision was made between the Leader Dragon and his opponents to move the battle site. The two armies moved to remote parts of Asia and were given two days of rest to organize their camps. With his high rank and his personal servant, there was no need for him to do any of the manual labor involved in organizing a camp. His job was far more important than that. His job was to utilize all his tricks so that at the end of the day he would exit the field with the maximum amount of soldiers.

Dumpster Diver While it was barely into the seventh month, for him the long, grueling year had finally come to an end. He was dropped off in the slums, a couple miles from his normal accommodations. The sun had gone down hours ago. It was far too late into the evening to call home. He would have to wait until tomorrow, and then as long as two week before he was able to get a flight home. He shuttered at the thought of riding in a jumbo jet, but had little choice. That was how people got from one side of the country to the other quickest.

Blood splattered across his face, hot and wet. He wiped it away from his eyes and mouth, moving to his next opponent. Today was even hotter than the last, and the excessive heat was making the Zodes sluggish. For every ten engaged in battle one more was collapsing in the heat. Unfortunately, the heat did little to slow the two Nooks. Luke had lost sight of Nevada earlier in the day, and was now taking to keeping an eye on North. It was still a little shocking for him to see the kid in action. He had been living with two deadly foes all this time, not just the one.

Soundbridge Silence What lied on the surface of a person was not necessarily a reflection of what that person's character was. You couldn't necessarily tell if a person was funny, or brave, or an absolute jerk. Hunter found such things a bit frustrating as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. He had gotten this date because he worked hard to make himself appear attractive to the girls in his class, but there was something simplistically shallow in that being the reason there was a date at all.

Haze rose from the hard dirt as the sun climbed over the horizon. It was very early, and under normal circumstances Luke would not have known such a time of day existed, but he was long past anything normal now. Before him stood a mass of gray, waiting for him and his siblings to lead them into their first battle. He was unfortunately too tired to hear or care about the little pep talk Trent and Dionne were jointly giving. He trusted himself to wake up once his life was threatened.

I laughed so hard at the second part. But, yeah. I came back and had two printers in my closet instead of three, and the third happens to be the one downloaded to my laptop. T took it with her to college. I have to try to get it back because I bought the stupid thing when I was out west. So it's mine and the only one that works with my laptop.
